  • Order data: products purchased, order value, transaction status, shipping and fulfilment information, returns and support history.
  • Payment data: payment status and limited payment details supplied by Shopify or the payment provider. We do not receive or store complete payment-card numbers.
  • Account data: login details, saved addresses, preferences and account activity if you create an account.
  • Communications: messages, product reviews, survey responses and information supplied to customer support.

How we collect personal data

We collect personal data directly from you; automatically through the store, cookies and similar technologies; from Shopify and the payment, fulfilment, delivery, analytics, advertising, review or customer-support providers that we enable; and from social platforms or advertising partners when you interact with PULSE there.

Where information is required to process an order or provide a requested service, failure to supply it may prevent us from completing the transaction or responding to the request.

How and why we use personal data

We use personal data to:

  • process payments, accept and fulfil orders, deliver products and provide order updates;
  • manage returns, refunds and support requests;
  • create and maintain customer accounts;
  • communicate about orders and enquiries;
  • operate, secure, troubleshoot and improve the store and customer experience;
  • detect and prevent fraud, abuse and security incidents;
  • understand store performance and product demand;
  • comply with accounting, tax, customs, legal and regulatory obligations;
  • establish, exercise or defend legal claims; and
  • send marketing communications or support advertising where we have the required consent or another lawful basis.

Where applicable, our legal bases include performing a contract, complying with legal obligations, our legitimate interests in operating and protecting the business, and consent. If we rely on consent, you may withdraw it without affecting processing that occurred before withdrawal.

Direct marketing

We use personal data for direct marketing only where permitted and with the consent or indication of no objection required by applicable law.

You can unsubscribe using the link in a marketing email or by contacting support@pulsepokerclub.com. Opting out of marketing does not stop necessary order, transaction or service communications.

We do not provide personal data to another person for that person's direct marketing for gain unless we first provide the required notice and obtain the legally required consent.

Cookies and similar technologies

Our store and service providers may use cookies, pixels, local storage and similar technologies to keep the store functioning, remember settings and cart contents, measure traffic and performance, prevent fraud, improve security and support analytics or advertising where permitted.

Use the cookie banner, privacy preferences or data-sharing opt-out page available on the store to manage applicable choices. You can also adjust your browser settings, although blocking essential cookies may prevent parts of the store from working.

How we disclose personal data

We may disclose personal data to:

  • Shopify, which hosts and operates the commerce platform;
  • payment processors and financial institutions;
  • production, fulfilment, customs and delivery partners;
  • information-technology, hosting, security and fraud-prevention providers;
  • analytics, email, advertising, review and customer-support providers that PULSE enables;
  • professional advisers, insurers, auditors and accountants;
  • regulators, courts, law-enforcement bodies or other parties where required by law; and
  • a buyer, investor or successor in connection with a proposed or completed corporate transaction.

Service providers may use personal data only for the permitted services and their own lawful obligations. Their privacy policies may also apply to processing that they control independently.

We do not sell personal data for money. Some privacy laws define sale, sharing or targeted advertising more broadly. Where those laws apply, use the store's privacy choices or contact us to exercise the available opt-out rights.

Shopify also processes customer personal data in connection with the commerce platform. Learn more in the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy.

International transfers

PULSE is based in Hong Kong and works with service providers in other countries, including Shopify and international fulfilment and delivery partners. Personal data may therefore be processed outside your country. Where required, we use contractual, organisational or other legally recognised safeguards for international transfers.

Data retention

We retain personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for order fulfilment, customer support, accounting, tax, customs, fraud prevention, dispute handling and legal compliance. Retention periods vary according to the type of data, our relationship with you and applicable law. When personal data is no longer required, we delete, anonymise or securely dispose of it.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect personal data. No online service or transmission method is completely secure, and residual security risk remains.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to or correction of personal data; request deletion; restrict or object to certain processing; withdraw consent; receive a portable copy of certain data; opt out of direct marketing, targeted advertising, sale or sharing where applicable; and complain to a data-protection authority.

To make a request, email support@pulsepokerclub.com. We may need to verify your identity. We will respond within the period required by applicable law and explain if an exemption applies.

Hong Kong customers may request access to and correction of their personal data under the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance.

Children

Our store is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children contrary to applicable law. If you believe a child provided personal data improperly, contact us.

Third-party links

The store may link to websites or services that PULSE does not control. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect operational, legal or technical changes. We will post the revised policy with a new last-updated date and provide additional notice where required.
